Making a small change to a frame bag? Here's what I'd send the factory first.

Jarvis

Hypothetical worked example

Say you've got a custom frame bag. Shape, fabric, and mounting points are already sorted.

Now you just want the side pocket easier to reach.

Sounds simple.

But what does that actually mean for the next sample?

I'd want a few things nailed down before anyone starts cutting fabric.

Keep: The overall shape, existing mounts, and anything else that's already working.

Change: The pocket opening or position. Exact dimensions still need to be agreed on.

Check: Will it rub your leg? Can you still reach the bottle? Does moving the pocket affect the zipper or mounting straps?

Ask the factory: What's possible without changing the main bag? What measurements do they need before quoting or cutting?

That's the kind of work we're taking on at LynxWorks.

Send us the current design, what you want changed, and any factory feedback. We'll help turn it into a clear next-sample brief, including what still needs your approval.

And when the factory replies, bring that back too. We'll work through what their proposal actually changes before you commit to another sample.

No need to start over every time.
